After
coating the roof and gutter
with POR-15, I set about covering 100%
of the bus with this yellow primer/surfacer.
As of today, 4-Oct-00, I have achieved
that goal, and after final sanding, paint booth
construction, and several important details
I've yet to discover, I'll be ready to coat
with primer/sealer, and finally, color.
I'm not going for perfection.....
I just want to drive a decent, rust-inhibited bus!
I think that is a realistic goal....
as long as I can get it done before the rains.....
The cargo doors were the last and most difficult.
But now that they're prepped, the rest of the job should just fly by!
Ya, right.
Have I mentioned that this primer looks and smells like banana?
What you see here in our living room is the original Westfalia camper seats/pads, etc. We covered that ripped, worn, and otherwise blecchy color of yellow with this maroonish stuff.
The stick is a fair approximation of the green/blue that is to cover the lower half of the bus (including the engine compartment), and the grey square is a tile of that vinyl flooring stuff.....which is to be our floor.
I can't wait for the joyous installation!
