...and this is the booth what Gene built..... 7,8-Oct-2000
What can I say? These are "before" pictures......and the following are "during":
I opted for the "negative pressure" system because I read in the archives of www.autobodystore.com that a positive pressure booth would cause the air (and therefore overspray and fumes) to infiltrate every nook and cranny...injecting itself under pressure into places it is unwanted......get the air out! (I hope this works!)
Check out that output!
The two below are fairly high-powered common box fans that I picked up for $19.95...the upper fan is a nice little air mover.....I used it to cool my compressor when I was using lots of air for sandblasting and the DA sander. The pic with the bungee cord is one of the lower fans with its filter, which is held in place and sealed with Velcro (a little goes a real long way) and reinforced with the bungee. During sanding/booth cleaning, I will remove the filter to maximize the flow-out of particulates.
Here's a shot of the front left intake ports. The narrow slots on the side turned out to be absolutely necessary. I thought I was being a little weird when I decided to use the natural frame created by the door jamb upright 2x4 and the corner post of the structure. (You'll see)
I put yet another intake in the upper front.
